Icone & Legno produce Icon boards from Linden wood, known commonly as Lime Wood. It is carefully selected to ensure its stability and suitability as a panel.
The boards are supplied completely smooth and ready for the application of a traditional gesso or a modern acrylic priming.
These panels are very solid and offer a substantial support.
Also available are Icone & Legno prepared panels. Ready to paint on with a traditional Gesso preparation over a glued fabric. These offer a traditional, very smooth, porcelain like surface. Perfect for Egg Tempera.
