QoR Watercolour Ground can be brushed on or applied by palette knife on to many different surfaces, such as canvas or wood, creating an absorbent surface that enables soft edged brush strokes and flowing wet-on-wet techniques. A light sanding will give a smooth surface similar to hot press papers. Dries to a lightfast and flexible surface that withstands repeated lifting of colour and scrubbing with the brush.
