Lascaux Neon are highly intense semi-opaque fluorescent colours that respond to UV light.
Lascaux Neon fluorescent colours are characterised by their intense luminance. They contain special pigments serving as optical brighteners. Under black light (UV light) this unique property shows itself as a highly effective glow.
The most powerful luminescence is achieved by priming the surface with Neon white (for UV light exposure) or with Lascaux Studio Titanium white (for daylight exposure).
Due to their fluorescent pigments, Lascaux Neon are less opaque and lightfast.

Limited Lightfastness
Lightfastness: Only the most lightfast fluorescent pigments are used for Lascaux Neon. Nevertheless Neon – like all other fluorescent colours – is only lightfast to a limited degree. The lightfastness depends on the thickness of the paint layer and the exposition of the work.
Varnishing: Neon colours should not be protected using UV protection varnishes, as these will block the UV light range that is required for fluorescent colours to glow in their characteristic manner.
